Grasstrees Australia is extremely proud to have been a sponsor of the inaugural Kalamunda Garden Festival that took place Sunday the 7th of October. It was a wonderful morning with a wide array of stall holders and guest speakers. Congratulations to Kalamunda Plant Company for organising such a successful event.
We’ve recently been involved in the Wildflower Capital Initiative to redevelop the Northbridge Tunnels. Our team installed 17 grasstrees surrounding the tunnel portals, its wonderful to see such beautiful Native WA plants displayed in such a prominent area. Make sure you keep your eye out next time you’re driving past.
The 1,000 year old grasstree is progressing well in it’s new home in Campground Park, Yanchep. Grasstrees Australia rescued this amazing specimen from Two Rocks in March 2017, and it is by far the largest Xanthorrhoea Preissii we have come across. A massive congratulations to Capricorn Yanchep and Horizon West for their involvement in this wonderful project.
Grasstrees Australia proudly installed a number of Xanthorrhoea Preissi at Yagan Square including a feature grasstree well over 300 years old. There was also a number of Kingia Australis installed as part of the amazing landscape. We are honored to be a part of such a wonderful redevelopment, definitely worth a visit next time you’re in the CBD.
Keep your eye out for our grasstrees installed at the Perth Airport DFO.
We are extremely proud to be part of this landscape, stores open October 3rd, 2018.
Grasstrees Australia was honoured to be awarded Silver Exhibitor 2018 for our display at the Perth Garden Festival. Many thanks to the organisers and all who attended for such a successful weekend.
Recent completion of the landscape at the newly renovated Perth Airport International Terminal highlights WA Xanthorrhoea Preissii as the feature plant species.
These particular grasstree specimens were extracted many months previously from Perth Airport sites , nursery stabilised at Grasstrees Australia facility for their return to Perth Airport as the focal point in this landscape project.
A great win for our environment.
With pride Grasstrees Australia were announced ‘NATIONAL FINALISTS’ in the 2014 Nursery & Garden Industry Awards, Best Specialty Garden Centre category.
To have Grasstrees Australia’s commitment in the preservation of WA Native plants recognised on this level is an honour. To then be judged across a national forum, with winners announced at a Nursery & Garden Industry Australia (NGIA) function held in Darling Harbour Sydney recently, certainly raises the profile of our very special WA Native flora, of course in particular Grasstrees (Xanthorrhoea Preissii) and Zamia palms (Macrozamia Riedlei).
